The headline fixture of the day sees Mexico face South Korea in a clash between two teams that began their campaigns with victories.

The result extended a strong run of form and reinforced confidence within Javier Aguirre’s squad. However, the absence of suspended defender César Montes could test their defensive organization.
South Korea also made a strong start by overturning a deficit to beat the Czech Republic 2-1. Hwang In-beom played a pivotal role, scoring one goal and creating another as the Taegeuk Warriors secured all three points.
Having won six of their last eight matches, South Korea will enter the contest believing they can challenge a Mexican side that has historically enjoyed success in this fixture.
