Surrey, B.C. — Police are investigating after yet another business in Surrey was damaged by gunfire, marking the latest in a series of similar incidents that have raised concerns among local business owners and residents.
According to Surrey RCMP, officers were called to the area around 8100 block of 128 Street early Monday morning after reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they found evidence of gunfire and damage to the front of a commercial property.
No injuries were reported, and police say it’s too early to confirm whether the business or its owners were specifically targeted. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage and speaking with witnesses in the area.
This incident follows several others in recent months where businesses across Surrey have been struck by gunfire overnight, sparking concerns about safety and possible links to organized crime or ongoing disputes.
“We understand these incidents are alarming to the community,” said a Surrey RCMP spokesperson. “Our priority is to identify those responsible and to prevent further violence.”
